HELENA, Mont. – The Carroll Men's Basketball team started off 2022 with an 80-64 victory over Dickinson State at the PE Center on Saturday afternoon.
 
The game was close early on as the Saints led the Blue Hawks 12-10 at the start of the first half. The Carroll offense caught fire throughout the rest of the first half, as they took a 42-29 lead into the break.
 
A similar script was followed in the second half as the Saints kept their distance from DSU and rolled to an 80-64 win.
 
Shamrock Campbell paced Carroll in scoring with 22 points on 8 of 11 shooting and added nine rebounds and five assists. Jovan Sljivancanin had 21 points and seven rebounds, Ifeanyi Okeke added 15 points and 11 rebounds.
 
Trey Hladky was one of four Blue Hawks players to finish in double figures. He scored a team-high 14 points.
 
Next Thursday, the 15-1 Fighting Saints will resume conference play at the PE Center against rival Montana Tech.
