GREAT FALLS, Mont. -- The Carroll College men's and women's golf teams both earned top three finishes at the Argo Invitational in Great Falls.
The women just barely edged out Montana Tech by one point to earn a second place finish behind Rocky Mountain College.
The men posted an impressive combined score of 312 in the final round of the tournament to leap-frog Providence and finish in third behind Rocky and Montana Tech.
Caroline Hobson finished in a tie for fourth after shooting a 90 in the final round of the invitational.
Ellie Thiel also shot a 90 on Tuesday and finished the week in a tie for ninth.
Katie Fagg finished strong with an 87 and tied for seventh.
Samuel Berry posted the best score of the day on the men's side, shooting a 69. This score moved him from eighth place into a tie for fourth to end the tournament.
The Saints will have next week off, before returning to the course on October fourth in Billings.
