HELENA, Mont. -- The Carroll College Fighting Saints football team will take on 13th ranked Eastern Oregon on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Nelson Stadium.

Since
Troy Purcell took over as head coach, the Saints have fared well at home, going 7-1 in home games up to this point.

The Saints enter Saturday's contest with a record of 1-1 on the season. They fell to Montana Western 26-22 in the season opener in Dillon back on August 28. Their first win of the season came on September 4 when they defeated rival Montana Tech 31-17 at Nelson Stadium.

Eastern Oregon recently moved up five spots in the NAIA polls this week after starting their season 2-0. Their wins came against Montana Tech and Montana Western.

Carroll suffered their lone loss of the 2020-21 Spring season against Eastern Oregon. The Mountaineers defeated the Saints 28-0 on March 20 in La Grande.
