HELENA, Mont. -- The Carroll College Volleyball team was defeated by MSU-Billings in an exhibition game on Tuesday, 3 sets to 2 at the PE Center.

Carroll came out of the gate swinging, as they took the first set 25-17.

In the second set, the Yellowjackets started to find their form. MSUB evened the score, taking the second set 25-21.

With the score even at 1-1, both teams had a chance to jump into the lead. It was the Yellowjackets who seized the opportunity, winning the third set 25-19 to take a 2-1 lead.

With their backs against the wall, the Saints responded in a big way. Carroll won the fourth set 25-20, forcing the game into a fifth set.

The Saints fought hard to overcome a fifth set deficit, and cut the score to 14-13. However, MSU-Billings was able to put the game away by winning the fifth set 15-13.

Bayli Monck, a senior from Colorado Springs, Colo., led the way for the Yellowjackets with a resounding 23 kills.Â

Lexi Mikkelsen, a junior out of Nine Mile Falls, Wash., and
Lexie Gleasman, a redshirt freshman from Chelan, Wash., each had 11 kills to lead the Saints' attack.
