KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Carroll College Men's Basketball team will take on William Penn (Iowa) on Friday at 6:15 p.m. MST in the round of 16 at the NAIA National Basketball Tournament in Kansas City. The game will take place at Municipal Auditorium.

After defeating Texas Wesleyan and Arizona Christian last weekend to win their opening round pod, the Saints are the only team from the state of Montana still remaining.

It is Head Coach Kurt Paulson's third year at the helm for Carroll, his alma mater, and his teams have qualified to play in Kansas City in each of those seasons.

Carroll is now 19-7 on the season as they look to continue their quest toward a National Championship on Friday.

Jovan Sljivancanin, a junior forward from Belgrade, Serbia, is Carroll's leading scorer this season, averaging 17.8 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.

William Penn, the tournament's number two seed, enters Friday night's game with a record of 25-1 and is the nation's top scoring offense, averaging 100.5 points per game.
