SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- The Carroll Women's Soccer team suffered a 1-0 loss to Oregon Tech on Tuesday night in the opening round of the Cascade Conference Tournament.
The lone goal of the match came in the fortieth minute when Sylvia Sloss launched a corner kick and Maddie Miller was able to tuck it away.Â
The top-seeded Owls managed to keep the Saints at bay over the course of the game. Carroll was only able to tally seven shots and two shots on target, while Oregon Tech had seven shots on target out of 15 total.

Sarah Conway had a busy day in goal. Fresh off of an all-conference honorable mention selection, Conway finished the game with six saves.
Tuesday's loss means a first-round exit for the Saints in the Cascade Conference Tournament. They finish this season with an overall record of 6-9-1 and a conference record of 5-6-1.
