HELENA, Mont. – The Carroll Volleyball team's run through the Frontier Conference Tournament came to an end on Saturday night in a 3-0 championship round loss to the Providence Argos.
Carroll kept things close in the first set, but it was the Argos who came out on top, 25-21.
By the time the second set rolled around, the Argos were absolutely dialed in and showed why they're the fifth-ranked team in the nation. They won the second set 25-14.
The Saints continued to battle, but in the end, they were overpowered by the relentless attack of the Argos. Providence sealed the conference tournament championship, winning the third set 25-14.
In her final game as a Saint,
Taelyr Krantz led the team in kills with 9.
Hannah Schweikert added 19 assists and
Julia Carr had 20 digs.
Sadie Lott headlined the attack in the championship-winning effort for Providence with 11 kills. Cydney Finberg-Roberts also added a game-high 40 assists.
The Saints close out their season as Frontier Conference Tournament runners up. Their final record was 14-15.
