Men's Basketball | 10/23/21 | 10:15 PM

HELENA, Mont. - The Saints Men's Basketball team took down SAGU American Indian College 95-59 at the Carroll PE Center in their first game of the Comfort Suites Classic on Saturday.

Carroll came out of the gates hot, jumping out to an 18-5 lead at the first media timeout, and kept the Warriors at bay for the remainder of the game.

Defending Frontier Conference Player of the Week, Shamrock Campbell, posted another impressive campaign for the Saints. Campbell led all scorers with 18 points.

Senior forward Jovan Sljivancanin also had a good day, recording a double-double in points and rebounds.

It was another team effort offensively for the Saints, who had 6 players score double-digit points.

Carroll College will have a quick turnaround as they prepare for the second leg of the Comfort Suites Classic at 2 pm tomorrow, against Eastern Oregon in the PE Center.

The Saints should have a more competitive tilt tomorrow against Eastern Oregon, who managed to break away from MT Tech at the end of their match-up this afternoon. The Mountaineers were led by a strong offensive performance from Max McCullough, who scored 39 points.

Tomorrow's game will be streamed live on The Fighting Saints Network, presented by Point S Tire & Auto at www.youtube.com/c/carrollathletics
