CALDWELL, Idaho – The Carroll College football team will play on the road for the second straight week on Saturday as they take on College of Idaho in Caldwell. Kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
After a tough 34-33 loss at Southern Oregon, the 1-3 Saints look to get back in the win column. Carroll's three losses this season have come by a combined eight points.
The Yotes enter the weekend in a four-way tie for first place in the Frontier Conference. Through four games, they hold a 3-1 record after defeating Eastern Oregon 24-7 in La Grande last weekend to hand the Mountaineers their first loss.
The Saints are searching for their first win at Simplot Stadium since 2016 as they hope to end their current two-game skid and get back on track at the half-way point.
The last meeting between these two programs was on April 10, 2021. The Yotes came into Nelson Stadium with a 3-0 record and the winner of the game would earn a trip to the NAIA Football Championship Series. The Saints pulled out a 28-19 victory to force a three-way tie atop the Frontier Conference.
College of Idaho running back Nick Calzaretta is the focus of their offense. He has 502 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 89 attempts this year.
Carroll's running back
Duncan Kraft is also having an excellent campaign so far this year. Kraft has 391 yards and six touchdowns on 81 attempts.
