HELENA, Mont. -- After their big road wins in Havre, the Fighting Saints men's basketball team's orders get a little taller on Saturday.
The Fighting Saints (5-3, 2-2 Frontier Conference)) will meet No. 11 Providence (2-0, 2-0).
Providence will only be seeing their third and fourth games of the season, after electing to begin play in January. Providence opened the season with a pair of road wins against Montana Tech, 86-83 and 94-89.
The Saints will be looking to build off their momentum after two close wins on the road in Havre.
Carroll is led by junior
Jovan Sljivancanin's 17.4 points per game, while
Shamrock Campbell is right behind with 17.1 points per game. Campbell's three-ball is among the best in the nation, as he is ranked No. 24 in three-point percentage at 55% while his 3.3 makes per game are good for No. 26.
Sljivancanin currently leads the Frontier in steals per game at 1.63 a night.
As a team, the Saints are No. 3 in the NAIA in total rebound defense at 27.9 per game, while also boasting the No. 7 scoring defense per game at 64.6.
The Saints will have to slow down Providence All-American Zach Darko-Kelly, who leads the Frontier in scoring, rebounding and blocks. Darko-Kelly, through just two games, leads the NAIA in defensive rebounds per game at 12.
The game is scheduled to tipoff at 7 p.m.
