HELENA, Mont. -- The No. 17-ranked Carroll College Fighting Saints men's basketball team's crusade toward a Frontier Conference championship continues on Friday night as the Saints host rival No. 10 Providence in the PE Center.

Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

"Providence has a talented team as we know and it is huge for us to get them again at home," Saints coach Kurt Paulson said. "They play fast and want the score in the 80s or 90s.  We have to defend their transition and keep them in front of us. At this point in the season it will come down to execution and who can stop the other team defensively."

The Saints (23-8) own the regular season series advantage, defeating Providence (24-7) 2-1. Carroll won twice in Helena, 93-88 and then 89-81, and fell in Great Falls 74-66.

The No. 2-seeded Saints defeated No. 7-seed Rocky Mountain College 89-73 to open up the tournament. Providence earned a victory over Montana Western in the quarterfinals, winning 95-62

The Saints own the No. 3 assist/turnover ratio in the NAIA at 1.43 per game. Saints sophomore forward Jovan Sljivancanin is No. 4 in the NAIA in total rebounds per game at 10.6. Dane Warp's 18.8 points per game lead the Saints and rank No. 20 in the NAIA.

Carroll will look to again slow junior wing Zach Darko-Kelly down, whose 22.9 points per game rank No. 7 in the NAIA.

The winner will advance to the Frontier Conference Championship to be played on Monday at 7 p.m. The lowest-seeded remaining team will host the game.
