No. 17 Carroll MBB falls 78-51 to No. 5 LCSC

HELENA, Mont. -- The No. 17-ranked Carroll College men's basketball team fell to No. 5 Lewis-Clark State College 78-51 on Friday in Lewiston, Idaho.

The loss evened the series between the teams at 1-1.

The Saints (17-7, 8-4 Frontier Conference) fell behind early and faced an upward battle against a Warriors team whose only loss this season came at the hands of the Saints in the PE Center back on December 6.

On Friday, the Saints shot just 33% from the field and 33% from deep, as the Warriors (22-1, 10-1) connected on 14-of-31 deep balls to power past the Saints.

Dennis Flowers III led all scorers with 17 points on 6-for-14 shooting and added a team-high six rebounds.

Jovan Sljivancnain added 11 points, to highlight Saints in double figures.

The loss broke a three-game winning streak for the Saints, who now return home to face Rocky Mountain College on Tuesday.
