HELENA, Mont. -- The No. 17-ranked Carroll College Fighting Saints men's basketball program faces Rocky Mountain College on Tuesday night in the PE Center.
"They're all big games," Saints coach
Kurt Paulson said. "We're on the final third of the rotation and everybody kind of knows what everybody else is doing. You have to execute and make the little plays."
The Saints (17-7, 8-4 Frontier Conference) will be looking to earn the regular-season sweep of the Battlin' Bears (6-15, 1-11). The Saints won in Billings twice this season, 101-97 in triple overtime on January 15 and then 76-61 on January 29. The last time the Saints swept Rocky came during the 2015-16 season.
Carroll packs two of the best scorers in the NAIA with
Dane Warp (18.7 points per game) and
Jovan Sljivancanin (18.3). Sljivancanin also doubles as one of the best rebounders in the NAIA with 10.5 boards per game (No. 4).
The Battlin' Bears come into the game on a 10-game losing streak. RMC has not won since January 3 against Dickinson State. Rocky features four scorers that average over 10 a game: Clayton Ladine (13.3), Darius Henderson (12.9), Grant Wallace (12.6) and Sam Vining (10.5).
The Saints are currently tied for second place in the Frontier Conference with Providence.
The game will be sponsored by St. Peter's Health. The game will be broadcast on SWX and Eleven Sports nationwide. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:35 p.m.
