No. 23 Carroll MBB heads north to face MSUN

GAME NOTES

HELENA, Mont. -- The Frontier Conference season returns as the No. 23-ranked Carroll College men's basketball team heads north to face Montana State-Northern on Tuesday in the Armory Gymnasium.

"MSUN is very methodical on offense and they like to run their stuff," Saints coach Kurt Paulson said. "They have a balanced scoring group led by (Mascio) McCadney and (Kavon) Bey. We have to locate their shooters and keep the pressure on them defensively."

This will be the Saints' first road conference game of the season. The Saints (11-3, 2-0) have posted a 6-0 record at home, so far, including their 2-0 start to the conference season with wins over Montana Tech and Lewis-Clark State College.

Entering Tuesday night's affair, the Saints will be riding a five game winning-streak in which they've scored over 90 points in every game.

The Saints are led in scoring by sophomore wing Jovan Sljivancanin's 19.2 points per game, while senior guard Dane Warp's 18.7 points per game are right behind. Freshman Dennis Flowers III adds in 11.4 ppg to round out the Saints' double figure scorers.

A season ago the Saints went 2-1 against the Lights.

Bey and McCadney average 15.5 and 15.4 points respectively to lead the Lights (11-3, 1-1). Adam Huse also adds in 12.5 points per game. The Lights are riding a four-game winning streak. Northern opened up the season with a 67-65 win over Western, but then fell two nights later to Rocky Mountain College at home, 90-86 in overtime.

The game is scheduled to tip-off at 8 p.m. A live stream can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCx2uZG1gECZZlZYs4Q67EqA
