HELENA, Mont. -- There would be no triple-overtime thriller this time.
The No. 9-ranked Carroll College Fighting Saints handled Rocky Mountain College 76-61 on Wednesday in the Fortin Center in Billings, Montana.
The Saints had five players reach double figures, led by
Jovan Sljivancanin's 23-point, 10-rebound performance. Joining him were
Dane Warp and
Shamrock Campbell, who each added 15 points, while
Jonny Hillman shot a perfect 4-for-4 from the field for 11 more and
Ifeanyi Okeke added 10 more points along with 11 rebounds.
After grabbing a lead a few minutes in, the Saints (15-6, 6-3 Frontier Conference) controlled the game for the rest of the way.
Rocky (6-12, 1-8) had five players reach double figures, led by Sam Vining's 12.
Carroll shot 51% from the field, including 50% from deep.
The Saints outscored RMC each half.
The win broke a three-game skid for the Saints.
The Saints return home to the PE Center on Friday to take on Montana Western.
