HELENA, Mont. -- The Fighting Saints finish out the week with a road contest against No. 8 Providence, the team it defeated in the PE Center a little over week ago. Now, entering Saturday's contest, the Saints look to break a two-game losing streak.
QUICK NOTES
* Carroll College senior guard Dane Warp was picked by coaches as the preseason Frontier Conference MVP. Warp was an honorable mention All-American last season.
* Warp scored his 1,000th point against Walla Walla on Nov. 14, 2019. He now has 1,299 for his career, which puts him at No. 16 on Carroll men's basketball all-time scoring list. He's on pace to finish the regular season with about 1,500 points.
* The Saints are very good in the PE Center this season with a record of 7-1. In two seasons under Coach Paulson, the Saints are 22-2 in the PE Center. In true road games, the Saints are 3-2 so far.
* Carroll is looking to shake off its second losing streak of the season.
* The Saints were selected to place fourth in the same coaches' preseason poll. After one week of conference play, the Saints are tied for first.

*Freshman Dennis Flowers III has emerged as a legitimate No. 3 scoring option, averaging 10.9 points per game, while sophomore guard Shamrock Campbell is right behind him with 9.9 ppg.
*Sljivancanin's 21 rebounds against RMC on Jan. 15 marked the first time a Saint recorded at least 20 rebounds since the 1989-90 season when Glenn Bliss did it.
* Carroll sophomore point guard Shamrock Campbell scored a career-high 23 points against Whitworth on Nov. 30, shooting 7-for-10 from the field and 4-for-6 from the three-point line.
* Carroll returns four players from its championship-runnerup team from a season ago: Warp, Sljivancanin and Eetu Villa. No other current players appeared in games last season.

* Carroll defeated then No. 7-ranked Providence in its last matchup. This time, the Saints will see if they can take down the Argonauts in Great Falls.
