HELENA, Mont. -- Act 2 of the Frontier Conference begins on Wednesday for the No. 9-ranked Carroll College Fighting Saints men's basketball team.

Carroll (14-4, 5-1 Frontier) travels up to Havre to face Montana State-Northern at 8 p.m.

For the Saints, it will be a chance to put their first loss of the conference season behind them, and hopefully find the right formula to knock off the Lights in Havre for a second time this season. Carroll won 69-58 in Havre on January 7.

"Both teams are desperate for a win," Saints coach Kurt Paulson said. "We have to get on the right track and make some shots. All of the games are going to be tough on the road or at home. We have to take them one at a time and have short memories."

Carroll enters the game after falling to Montana Western (9-8, 2-4) at home on Friday. The Saints will use that hard lesson to refocus as the mid-point of the conference season draws near.

"It revealed some weaknesses in areas we need to work on," Paulson said. "We're looking forward to tomorrow night and getting back on the right track."

Carroll enters Wednesday's tilt with the No. 4 assist/turnover ratio in the NAIA at 1.5. The Saints also rank highly in free throw percentage at 76%, the No. 6 mark in the NAIA.

Leading the Saints are senior Dane Warp's 20 points per game, and Jovan Sljivancanin's 18.8. Warp is No. 10 in the NAIA in points per game while Sljivancanin is No. 3 in the NAIA with 10.9 rebounds per game.

Mascio McCadney and Kavon Bey both averaging about 15 points per game to lead the Lights.

For those who cannot be in attendance, a live stream will be offered via the MSU-Northern. Fans can also hear the game on Rewind 94.9, called by Carroll College Saints play-by-by talent Daniel Salle and Hall of Fame coach Gary Turcott. The game can also be tracked via DakStats.
