HELENA, Mont. -- The No. 9-ranked Carroll College Fighting Saints gear up to finish off the first third of the conference season by hosting Montana Western on Friday. 

"We have been very pleased with our start to Frontier Conference but we know that moving forward things only get tougher as teams start to adjust to you after the first round of games," Saints coach Kurt Paulson said. 

The Saints (14-3, 5-0 Frontier Conference) are fresh off a triple-overtime thriller in Billings on Wednesday, a game in which Jovan Sljivancanin poured in a 20-point, 21-rebound performance while senior Dane Warp tied for a game-high 33 points while also adding in 10 rebounds and five assists. 

"I feel like Dane Warp has really stepped up in his leadership role for our young guys and he is playing the best ball of his Carroll career," Paulson added. 

Warp leads the Saints in scoring at 19.8 per game and 4.5 assists while Sljivancanin adds in 19.1 points and leads the team in rebounding at 11.2 boards per game. The Saints also get double-digit efforts from Dennis Flowers III (11.2 ppg) and Shamrock Campbell (10.1 ppg).  

The Saints own the top spot in the Frontier Conference with their perfect league record, but with two more games against each FC opponent, Carroll will have to keep its momentum rolling to retain that position.

"We have to stay focused and eager to get better and never get complacent," Paulson said. "It is my job to instill an everyday attitude and keep things fresh and exciting to keep the players motivated to win each day in the classroom, weight room and practice."

The Bulldogs (7-8, 0-4) are led in scoring by James Jones' 18.5 points per game while Cedric Boone adds in another 16.1 points. 

The game is scheduled to tipoff at 7:30 p.m. in the PE Center.
