HELENA, Mont. -- Carroll College's women's soccer team battled with No. 23 Southern Oregon, but the Raiders made the most of their opportunities and scored two goals in the first half to defeat the Saints 2-0 on Friday in Ashland, Oregon.
SOU (4-2-1, 1-0-1 Cascade Collegiate Conference) outshot the Saints 9-8, but came away with two netters.
SOU stuck in the 11th minute when Baylee Touey scored off a Mia Volpatti assist.
Then, the Raiders fired several shots before a rebound was put in by Misty Martinez in the 41st minute.
Saints (4-2-1,1-2) goalkeeper
Sydney Green made three saves on the day.
SOU goalkeeper Kailey Lemon recorded one save.
The Saints will look to end their two-game losing streak on Saturday as they face Oregon Tech at 2 p.m. in Klamath Falls.
