HELENA, Mont. -- Carroll College Athletics announced the hiring of
Maisie Walters as its new assistant athletic trainer.
"Over my 15 year career I have formulated a philosophy of patient care centered on each patient's needs as a whole: mentally and physically," Walters said. "When the opportunity to work for Carroll College presented itself, I saw an institution that prioritizes both academics and athletics with high importance on the student's overall experience. I wanted to work here because I believe my philosophy would fit well with the environment at Carroll while allowing me to continue to grow as a professional."
Walters comes to Carroll after four years of serving as an athletic trainer with St. James Hospital in Butte, Montana, servicing Butte High.Â
She holds a Doctorate of Athletic Training from the University of Idaho. Prior, she received her Masters of Science in Exercise and Sports Studies from Boise State, majoring in Kinesiology with an emphasis in biophysical studies.Â
Walters will work under new head athletic trainer
Kris Ward, who was promoted after Brian Coble's departure back in August.Â
