HELENA, Mont. -- All 15 Carroll College Athletics programs qualified as Scholar-Teams, the NAIA announced on Monday.
It's the fifth consecutive year all CC teams have earned the distinction.
"Our student-athletes continue to impress me with their excellence in the classroom," Saints Athletic Director
Charlie Gross said. "Our student-athletes, coaches and administration set high expectations on the playing field and in the classroom. To once again achieve this mark is tremendous."
For a team to be considered for the NAIA Scholar-Team award, it must have a minimum 3.0-grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as defined by the institution. The team grade point average includes all eligible varsity student-athletes.
Eleven of the 15 Fighting Saints' teams recorded at least a 3.2 or better. Three teams (men's and women's soccer and volleyball) held a 3.4 or better. Carroll Volleyball led the way with a 3.48 GPA.
