37th SAA Auction takes place Friday

HELENA -- What does a trip to watch the Minnesota Vikings, a Tennessee whiskey adventure and tickets to Carrie Underwood have in common?

All and much more can be yours at the 37th Carroll College Saints Athletic Association Auction this Friday. The silent auction is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., while the live auction kicks off at 7:30.

"The Annual SAA Auction is the single largest fundraising event we have to benefit student-athlete scholarships," Saints Director of Athletics Charlie Gross said. "The support the Helena community provides the auction is unbelievable. There are over 150 organizations and businesses that contribute to this event. In addition, it is a wonderful social event which brings Carroll Fighting Saints supporters together for a very fun evening."

Saints supporters will have a chance to rub elbows with Carroll College's brightest as the PE Center's gym is transformed into an auction floor, featuring heavy hors d'oeuvres catered by Chili O'Brien's and a bar managed by the Knights of Columbus.

Come socialize with men's basketball coach Kurt Paulson, fresh off a national runner-up campaign in his first year. Visit with first-year football coach Troy Purcell, whose team opened up spring ball this past week. With Carroll student-athletes chaperoning, folks can expect another bustling spectacle.

The night will feature several raffles alongside the bidding action. Attendees have a chance to win a Remington Shotgun or pay just $100 for a chance to win $2,500. Try your chance at Heads or Tails, with a chance to win a piece of jewelry.

With Dean Folkvord of Wheat Montana serving as our auctioneer and MontanaSports' Richie Melby as the emcee, those in attendance are sure to be entertained.

Tickets are still available to purchase ($20) online or down at the PE Center.
