HELENA, Mont. -- Dane Warp's fall-away jumper from the corner bounced off the back rim and the No. 7 Carroll College Fighting Saints fell to Montana Tech 69-66 on Thursday night in Butte. 

Carroll (23-6, 12-5 Frontier Conference) and Tech battled evenly in a defensive affair until MTT grabbed a lead with about three minutes left in the first half.

The Orediggers would hold onto it the rest of the way. 

Carroll cut that lead to one or two points on six occasions, especially late in the game, but the Saints never could find the right formula to regain control. 

Match Burnham led all scorers with 22 points and added nine rebounds.

Jovan Sljivancanin continued his rebounding wizardry, pulling down a game-high 15 points and posting a second consecutive double-double with 13 points. 

Dane Warp added 18 points for the Saints. 

The Saints will seal at least a share of the Frontier Conference regular season championship with a win on Saturday against Rocky Mountain College. That win would also guarantee the Saints the No. 1 seed in the Frontier Conference tournament. 

Dylan Pannabecker led the Orediggers with 13 points.

Saturday's game will double as Senior Night.
