HELENA, Mont. -- The No. 8 Carroll College Fighting Saints earned a regular season series victory over No. 23 Providence in convincing fashion, defeating the Argonauts 77-47 on Saturday in the PE Center. 

The Saints (20-7, 11-4 Frontier Conference) are marching. The victory is the Saints' fifth consecutive win and guaranteed at least the No. 2 spot in the Frontier Conference. Should Montana Western fall twice in the final week of the season and the Saints win out, Carroll could claim the regular season Frontier Conference title. 

Dani Wagner scored a game-high 19 points, Britt Johnson added 17 points (5-for-7 threes) and Hannah Dean posted a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds while also dishing out five assists. 

Carroll built a double-digit lead with seven minutes left in the second quarter and never relented. Carroll scored 28 points in the second period. Carroll held a 20-plus point lead the entire second half. 

The Saints lit up the scoreboard, shooting 48 percent from the field, 44 percent from the three-point line and 72 percent from the foul line. 

Carroll forced Providence into 17 turnovers, including 12 in the first half that helped the Saints build their massive lead. 

Every available and active rostered Saint played Saturday.  

"I'm really excited for our kids," Saints coach Rachelle Sayers told Sports 94.9.  "Home game. All of them get in. They deserve it. They worked gard. This league, it doesn't happen where you can play Hannah Dean 26 minutes and Lyman 24. It was good to get (substitutes) them in there. I thought all of them came in there and played well." 

Parker Esary led the Argonauts with 14 points. 

The Saints head to Montana Tech on Feb. 21 before coming back to the PE Center for the regular season finale against Rocky Mountain College on Feb. 23.
