HELENA, Mont. -- The Carroll College Fighting Saints face their tallest task to date as they host undefeated and No. 14-ranked Lewis-Clark State on Friday in the PE Center.
"LC State has three extremely good returners and a mix of new faces similar to us," Saints coach
Kurt Paulson said. "They play hard on defense are clicking right now as they haven't lost any counter games. We need to match their physicality in order to get the win."
The Warriors, like Montana Tech, enter the contest with an impressive win over an NCAA D-I opponent. The Warriors defeated the University of Idaho 88-73 in their non-conference schedule and have posted at least a double-digit margin of victory in every contest this season.
Four Warriors average at least double figures scoring. Damek Mitchell leads the team with 14 per night, while Trystan Bradley (12.8), Josiah Westbrook (12.6) and Travis Yenor (10.8) are close behind.
In the Saints' (5-2, 1-0 Frontier Conference) conference-opening victory against Montana Tech, 82-78 in overtime,
Jovan Sljivancanin,
Dane Warp and Dennis Flowers combined for 67 points. Sljivancanin and Warp each average about 20 points per game.
The game is slated to tipoff at 7:30 p.m.
