HELENA, Mont. -- The Carroll College men's basketball hosts Whitworth in its home opener on Saturday at 3 p.m.
"We need to dust ourselves off and rebound vs Whitworth," Saints coach
Kurt Paulson said. "It will be our first home game of this young season so it will be nice to play in front of our fans in the PE Center. Whitworth will be a great challenge as they shoot the ball well and spread you out. Ben College will be one of the best players we will face this year."
Whitworth (5-1) is ranked No. 24 in NCAA D-III according to a d3hoops.com poll. The Pirates are led by Ben College, a senior guard who averages 22.3 points per game.
The Saints take to the PE Center for the first time this season. Carroll (3-2) has played games in Butte, Montana, but beyond that, all its games have been played out of state in Oregon, Washington and California.
The Saints are led by
Dane Warps' 20.3 points and
Jovan Sljivancanin's 20.2 points per game.
The game is set to tip at 3 p.m. and will be broadcast on Carroll Athletic's YouTube page.
