HELENA, Mont. -- The Carroll College Fighting Saints women's basketball team bounced back with a 77-67 win over Northwest Christian on Friday in Eugene, Oregon.
Sienna Swannack led the Saints with 15 points.
The Saints (4-3) started the game slowly, allowing NCU's Morgan McKinney, who finished with a game-high 20 points, to score NCU's first 10 points.
After a timeout, however, the Saints came out in a press and went on a 11-0 run to claim the lead in the first quarter.
Once the Saints took the lead, they never let it go, withstanding a few runs by the Beacons (1-1) to take the victory.
Carroll also got 11 points and eight rebounds from
Christine Denny, while Danielle Wager added 10 points and five rebounds.
A little more than 24 hours after a tough shooting day, the Saints shot 47 percent from the field, and 36 percent from deep.
Carroll is off until Nov. 29 when they take on College of Idaho in Caldwell.
