Carroll women's soccer pushes win streak to 4 against MU

HELENA, Mont -- Carroll College women's soccer team started hot, and did not cool down as five different Saints scored en route to a 5-0 victory over Multnomah on Saturday in Portland, Oregon.

Brynn Walker started the offensive barrage with a score in the sixth minute of action. Katie Martin and Carsyn Kraft joined in on the fun in the first half with goals in the 27th and 35th minutes. The Saints had eight shot attempts in the first half, but they did not stop there.

Alexa Fries found the net in the 52nd minute of action. Brenna Rohnkohl added the last goal of the day for the Saints in the 83rd minute of action. The Saints added on 12 more shot attempts in the second half for a total of 20 shots. Fifteen of the Saints shots were on target.

The Fighting Saints defense dominated once again, recording their fourth consecutive shutout. Multnomah only found the opportunity for four shot attempts, with one of those on goal.

Saturday's win makes it four straight for Carroll, improving their overall record to 8-5-2 with a record of 5-4-1 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play.

The Carroll women return home next Sunday the 27th for a matchup against Rocky Mountain. The game is scheduled for a 1:30 p.m. start at Nelson Stadium.
