HELENA -- Here come the Fightin' Saints.

The Carroll College volleyball team went 2-0 on Friday, defeating Baker (Kansas) and York (Nebraska) -- both 3-0 sweeps -- at a tournament in Bellevue, Nebraska. 

Carroll started the day with a strong 3-0 performance against York. The Saints won every set by at least 11 points. 

Baker proved to be a much tougher test fo the Saints.

Carroll took the first set 26-24, followed by a 28-26 second set. However, by the time the third set rolled around, the Saints established a rhythm and won convincingly 26-16.  

Carroll rounds out the whirlwind trip with a match against William Woods University on Saturday at 1 p.m., followed by a final tough test against No. 2 Dordt at 6 p.m.
