HELENA, Mont. -- No. 22 Carroll College set three new school records against a depleted Salish Kootenai College on Thursday at the Carroll Classic, winning 151-72.
Carroll set new school records for most points in a game (151), most field goals in a game (66) and highest field-goal percentage in a game (75.9).
The Saints had 39 assists on the night, too, just one shy of the school record.
"Guys are sharing it," Saints coach
Kurt Paulson said. "We have to flip the script and get ready for Northwest. They're super athletic."
Dane Warp had a triple-double with 45 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. He was three points shy of the school record for most points in a game. Warp shot 20-of-24 from the field.
"He had the ball in his hands a ton," Paulson said. "He played some point guard. Dane handled the ball more than usual. I'm happy for him. He had a great game."
Salish Kootenai only suited up six players on Thursday, and one of those players, Will Mesteth only played 16 minutes after an apparent ankle injury took him out of the game.
All seven Saints players that played scored in double digits.
Jovan Sljivancanin also recorded a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds.
The Saints face Northwest on Friday at 7:30 p.m. The Saints previously defeated NU 70-59 in Kirkland, Washington.
"We have to be ready to go," Paulson said. "We played them two weeks and and it was a really, really close game."
Montana Tech will face Salish Kootenai at 5:30 p.m. prior to the Saints game tomorrow.
