HELENA, Mont. -- The No. 7-ranked Carroll College women's basketball team continues it's difficult non-conference slate with a Top 10 tilt against No. 8 Westmont on Monday in the PE Center.

"Every home game for us is important because we love playing at home, we have some of the greatest fans around, but to bring the top teams, that we have this year to Carroll, is awesome," Saints coach Rachelle Sayers said. "I know our players will be really excited to compete on Monday. I expect an awesome game; high energy, lots of adjustments and a lot of defense. I really hope we can show them what women's basketball means to this state and community and we fill the seats at the PE Center. We are definitely going to need the support. This is a big game... as big as they get in November."

Westmont (3-1) went to the NAIA championship game a season ago, falling to Freed-Hardeman in the final, 76-64. The Warriors have won the Golden State Athletic Conference two of the last three seasons and averaged 28 wins per season over that same stretch.

When the Warriors come to Helena, two of the best teams in the NAIA will square off.

"It is not very often that you have a chance to host a team that went to the NAIA National Championship game," Saints coach Rachelle Sayers said. "Westmont's coaching staff and I have known each other for years, our paths crossed a lot when I was at Weber State and Kirsten (Moore) was at Cal and Selena (Ho-English) at Oregon.

"What Kirsten has been able to do at Westmont in her short tenure is something that I truly respect her for, she's great for our profession; as a professional, mom and mentor for many."

The Warriors bring a deep scoring squad into Helena. Four Warriors average double figures, led by Kaitlin Larson's 17.2 points per game.

The Saints (2-1) are led by Hannah Dean's 13.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. The Saints play around a deep rotation that sees six different players log at least 20 minutes a game.

Carroll comes into the game after eight days between contests. The Saints defeated Corban 57-48 on Nov. 11.

Monday's game is slated to tip at 7 p.m.
