Box Score GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The Carroll College Volleyball team outscored Providence 87-76, but the Argos tallied three, two-point set wins to top the Saints 12-25, 26-24, 16-25, 31-29, 16-14.
The Saints tallied a .319 attack percentage while UP hit just .195 but the Argos earned the win to pick up their first conference win.
Carroll dominated the first set en route to the 15-12 win, but the second set was a different story. The Saints and Argos battled point for point before, trailing 24-23, UP rattled off three points to win 26-24.
The third set was again dominated by the Saints, but the fourth would be a big frustration for Carroll. The Saints led 22-15, but UP went on a 9-2 run to tie the set at 24. The teams would go back and forth until the Argos tallied the last two points to win 31-29.
In the fifth set, Carroll went up 5-0, but again Providence rallied to take a 7-6 lead, the teams again went point before UP score the last two to win the set and the match.
The Saints fall to 9-10 on the year, and 2-2 in Frontier play.
Holly Morehouse tallied 24 kills to just three errors for a .477 attack percentage to lead the Carroll attack.
Rayna Pilgeram tallied 56 assists, and
Casey Berry had 29 digs.
The Saints next host Rocky Mountain on Sept. 30.
