HELENA, Mont. – The Carroll College women's soccer team fell 1-0 to Rocky Mountain on a penalty kick goal late in the second half Friday at Nelson Stadium.
Carroll outshot Rocky 15-8 and had an 11-2 advantage in shots on goal, but Rocky Mountain goalkeeper Maia Wetzel tallied a season-high 11 saves to keep the Saints scoreless.
Rocky's lone goal came in the 65th minute when a Rocky player was fouled in the box setting up a penalty kick for Mikale Miller.

Devan Murfitt had a hand on it and knocked it up in the air but bounced off of the post and in to give Rocky a 1-0 lead that they would not relinquish.
The Saints fall to 5-4-2 overall and 1-2-2 in Cascade Conference play. Rocky improves to 7-2 overall and 3-1 in conference.
