HELENA, Mont. – Five players scored in double figures led by Ryan imhoff with 18 points and the Carroll college men's basketball team opened the season with a 103-53 blowout win over Yellowstone Christian Saturday at the PE Center in Helena.
Imhoff score the first bucket of the game and the Saints never trailed, racking up 50 points in the first half on 23-40 (57.5 percent) shooting en route to a 50-19 lead
Carroll continued the onslaught after the break, hitting 21/35 (60 percent) after the break.
The Saints pounded the ball in the newly-painted key, outscoring YCC 68-22 in the paint.
Carroll also got significant contribution off of the bench with a 48-6 advantage in bench points.
The Saints outrebounded Yellowstone 47-31. Worries about Carroll's ability to distribute the ball after the departure of first Team All-American
Zach Taylor to graduation were stayed. The Saints notched 32 assists on 44 made shots.

Match Burnham and
Dane Warp scored 14 each, Freshman
Brad King tallied 13, and
Matt Wyman had 12 on 6-7 shooting. Burnham and
Alejandro Santos Piqueras each tallied a team-high eight rebounds. Piquearas notched seven assists.
The Saints get right back into it tomorrow with a game on the road against Salish Kootenai College in Pablo, Montana. The Saints are the first varsity NAIA or NCAA team to face SKC on their home court. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
