HELENA, Mont. – The 23rd-ranked Carroll College men's basketball team looks to extend a two-game win streak this weekend when it meets Montana Tech Thursday in Butte before traveling to face Lewis-Clark State in Lewiston, Idaho, Saturday.
The Saints are 13-3 and 3-1 in Frontier Conference play after sweeping University of Great Falls and No. 15 MSU-Northern.
Carroll has the best field goal percentage (.542) and free throw percentage (.797) in the country and is in the top ten in eight statistical categories.
Ryan Imhoff leads the Saints with 17.0 points and 7.3 rebounds and 3.63 assists per game.
Zach Taylor averages 15.9 points and
Match Burnham is averaging 11.3.
Montana Tech is on a seven-game skid and are 6-10 and 0-5 in Frontier play under first-year coach Adam Hiatt. Guard Chris O'Neill leads the Diggers with 12.4 points per game. John Chapman is second on the team with 11.4 PPG.
Saturday, the Saints travel to face the defending Frontier Conference champion Lewis-Clark State Warriors. LCSC is 12-5 on the season and 2-3 in Frontier play. The Warriors lost their last two games, both on the road, but were 6-1 in the seven games before last week.
Doug McDaniel averages a team-high 18.5 points per game and Anthony Sullen scores 11.8.
