BUTTE, Mont. – Carroll College volleyball topped Corban 25-21, 26-24, 25-19, 25-21, 15-11 and Dickinson State 25-11, 26-24, 25-15 to close out the Big Sky Volleyball Challenge 3-1 and move to 7-2 on the season.
Carroll avenged their first loss of the season when they handed Corban its first loss of the season. The Warriors defeated Carroll 3-1 last week in Portland but in Butte, the Saints took the match.
Carroll hit a .259 percentage as a team
Paige Montgomery tallied 21 kills with a .366 hitting percentage to lead the way.
Holly Morehouse ended the match with 12 kills and a .407 percentage while
Jonni Dorr tallied 53 assists.
Natalie Kassa notched 12 digs to lead the Saints.
In the second match, The Saints notched a season-high .336 percentage while holding Dickinson to a .140,
Ayla Carpenter notched a double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs, she had a .273 percentage. Dorr again led the way with 44 assists and Kassa notched 22 digs.
The Saints hope to continue their strong start with four matches in California on Sept. 2-3.
