GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The No. 15 Carroll College women's basketball team was held to their season low and fell to the 25th-ranked University of Great Falls 44-37, Saturday in the Electric City.
The Saints led 21-20 at the half but the Argos came alive in the second half, outscoring the Saints 24-16 after the break.
Carroll could not find a shooting rhythm, shooting 16 of 62 (25.8 percent) from the field, including 1 of 20 (5 percent) from the three-point line. The Saints were perfect from the free throw line but only had four free throw attempts for the whole game.
Baylee Watson was the offensive bright spot for the Saints, she had 16 points and 12 rebound.
Cassidy Hashley tallied eight points and a game-high 13 boards.
Carroll dominated the glass, outrebounding the Argos 48-33, but the Saints turned the ball over 16 times to 10 for the Argos.
The Saints fall to fourth in the Frontier standings, a game back of UGF and MSU-Northern, with two games to play. Carroll hopes to get out the funk in the final two games of the regular season when they take on Montana Western Thursday before closing out the regular season at home against Rocky Mountain Saturday.
