HELENA, Mont. – The sixth-ranked Carroll College men's basketball team travels to the Gulf Coast to play a pair of games against the Xavier University of Louisiana Monday and the University of Mobile (Ala.) Wednesday.
The Saints are coming off an 84-76 win Saturday over a strong University of Lethbridge team but hit the road for a pair of challenging opponents.
Carroll opens with Xavier at 6 p.m. MST Monday. The Gold Rush are 3-6 on the year but have played tough competition early, falling twice to undefeated LSU Alexandria, twice to No. 22 Loyola (La.) and to No. 21 Wayland Baptist. XU began the season ranked No. 25 but fell out of the rankings in the first in-season poll.
Jalen David leads the Gold Rush with 13.9 points per game and Seth Jackson also scores 10.22 points per game.
After a travel day, the Saints meet 5-4 Mobile at H Austill Pharr Gymnasium in Mobile Wednesday at 6 p.m. MST. The Rams began the season with four wins in the first five games but has dropped three of their last four since that point. Mobile does own an 81-76 win over No. 16 Dillard (La.) .
Brandon Barnes leads the Rams with 11.0 Points per game and D.J. Hill averages 10.89 points per game.
