Men's Soccer's Season Comes to Close in 3-1 Loss to Corban

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – The Carroll College men's soccer team fell Saturday evening to second-ranked Corban University 3-1 in the semifinals of the Cascade Conference tournament in Springfield.
 
Corban jumped out to a 3-0 lead with two goals coming in the first half. Timur Zhividze scored in the 24th minute to take a 1-0 lead and again in the 34th from Travez Whyte.
 
The Warriors got on the board right away in the second half. Langdon Roscoe scored in the 47th minute to push the lead to 3-0.
 
James Lamont got the Saints on the board in the 63rd minute to cut the lead to 3-1 but theSaints couldn't muster another goal and Corban advanced to the championship match Monday.
 
Carroll outshot the Warriors 15-10 and 8-5 in shots on goal.The Saints also had a 6-0 advantage in corner kicks. 
 
The Saints close out the year 10-9-1 in the third season as a program but advanced to the conference semifinals for the first time in the short program history.
 
Four seniors graduate from this season's squad, including Two-Time All-Cascade Conference defender Jacob Groh.
