Bears Top Saints 2-1

BILLINGS, Mont. - Rocky Mountain College peppered the goal, outshooting Carroll College 25-7 and a strong performance from goalkeeper Bernhardt Di Cino wouldn't be enough as the Saints fell to the Bears 2-1 in men's soccer action Sunday in Billings.

Rocky got the scoring started in with a PK goal in the 24th minute. A Rocky Forward was driving the ball inside the left side of the box when he was tripped up for the PK call. Luca Wiechers sent the ball straight ahead and Di Cino dove to his left, leaving the goal open.

Carroll would equalize just before the half. In the 43rd minute, Nathan Boon sent a perfect corner kick directly into the box where Eli Fox rose and headed the ball, it bounced off of the cross bar and into the net for the freshman's first collegiate goal.

The Bears outshot Carroll 7-1 in the first half and had five corner kicks to one for the Saints.
Rocky retook the lead on a goal in the 52nd minute by Ben Teasdale.

The Saints notched six shots in the second half, three on frame but none would get into the net as the Bears took the 2-1 win.

Carroll is back on the road next week at the University of Great Falls on Saturday.
