HELENA, Mont. – The Carroll College volleyball team puts its perfect conference record this weekend when it travels to face Montana Western in Dillon Friday before returning to Helena to face No. 6 Rocky Mountain Saturday afternoon at the PE Center.
The Saints have won 11 of their last 12 matches with the only loss in that stretch coming at the hands of No. 24 Indiana Wesleyan in the second match of back-to-back matches at the Panther Invitational in Grand Rapids Michigan.
The weekend opens in Dillon against the last-place Bulldogs. Montana Western is 0-5 in conference (7-12 overall) but head coach Moe Boyle knows that playing the Bulldogs in Dillon is always a tough task.
"We can't afford to overlook any team," Boyle said. "If you need any evidence look at last year. Just like this year they hadn't won a match in conference but we went in there and lost in five."
The Saints get less than 24 hours to return home to Helena and prepare to face No. 6 Rocky Mountain in a potential match of conference undefeated teams.
The Bears are 6-0 in Frontier play (20-4 overall) and do not play again before meeting the Saints at 2 p.m. at the PE Center Saturday.
