HELENA, Mont. – Thirty-seven seconds separated the Carroll College men's soccer team from a 1-0 victory over the University of Great Falls but UGF's Luis Torres emerged from a scrum in front of the goal and sent a ball into the back of the goal to equalize.
 
Torres scored another goal in the second overtime to give UGF the 2-1 win.
 
The Saints held on to a 1-0 lead for much of regulation. Jose Porras scored a goal in just the 13th minute of the match to put the Saints up 1-0. Carroll held onto the lead despite being outshot 11-7 in regulation.
 
The Saints were just moments from closing the match out but a UGF earned a corner kick. The ball entered the mix in front of the goal and both teams had chances with the ball but Torres finally buried it for the tying goal.
 
Just seconds later, Carroll had its best chance to take the lead back but what looked like a goal with 15 seconds remaining on the clock was called offside and the game went into overtime.
 
Carroll survived a UGF onslaught in the first OT, the Argos tallied four shots to Carroll's one, but in just the second minute of the double OT Torres buried the golden goal to end the game.
 
Carroll hosts Evergreen State Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Nelson Stadium.
