This one was never in doubt. Taking a break from Frontier Conference play, the Carroll College volleyball team hosted Walla Walla University at the PE Center. They weren't there long.
On the strength of an all-around effort Thursday night, the Saints swept the Wolves 3-0 with wins of 25-11, 25-9 and 25-18. The match took just over an hour to complete.
Several players -- including Kathleen Mulligan, Chrystal Schmidt and libero Rebecca Sweeney -- were able to sit after just one game, allowing younger players to get more playing time. As a result, 11 Saints recorded at least one kill in the win. Paige Montgomery led with seven, and the trio of Sarah Roshak, Kylie Dirham and Morehouse all picked up five apiece.
