Carroll volleyball got off to a great start in Des Moines, Iowa, on Friday -- and got a little payback, too. The Saints opened their season with a pair of wins, first beating St. Francis in three games before taking down Trinity Christian in four. In the season opener, Carroll won a tightly contested match, 25-22, 25-21, 25-21.

"I think we were behind the whole first set," coach Moe Boyle said. "It always felt like we were four behind, three behind, and just couldn't quite catch a rhythm."
