Just minutes in, it became clear that the outcome at Nelson Stadium on Sunday wasn't much in doubt. The only question was what the final margin of victory would be. It wound up 8-0 in favor of the Carroll College women's soccer team, as the Saints remained unbeaten with the blowout of visiting Trinity Lutheran.
From the opening whistle, the Saints dominated. Carroll moved immediately into the Trinity zone, Cassidy Hammons putting in the first goal less than two minutes in. Captain Tessa Neameyer floated in another one at 34:37, and two-and-a-half minutes later it was Kayla Bayer.
