WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Arturo Valle scored two goals and the Carroll College Fighting Saints men's soccer team jumped out to a 3-0 lead en route to a 3-2 victory over Trinity Lutheran in a neutral site match at the University of Walla Walla Saturday evening.

Valle scored goals in the 19th and 33rd minutes to spark the Saints offense. Nathan Boone added the third goal in the 40th minute to give Carroll the 3-0 lead at the break.

The Eagles scored two goals in the second half, both by Jesus Torres, but the attack wasn't enough to steal the victory away from Carroll.

Conner Smith made five saves in the victory. Trinity Lutheran tallied 12 shots to the Saints 11 but the Saints earned four corner kicks to the Eagles' one.

Carroll plays Walla Walla tomorrow at 1 p.m. in the regular season finale. The Saints defeated WWU 11-0 in their first meeting on Sept. 18th.
