Bennett MacIntyre

Bennett MacIntyre became the head coach for men’s and women’s golf programs in February of 2007.

He coached the Carroll women to fourth place and men to fifth place finishes in the 2019 Frontier Conference Championship.

Prior, MacIntyre brought Carroll to unprecedented heights, including the 2012 men’s Frontier Conference golf championship and individual titles for Jackie Mee in 2013 and Connor Haushauer in 2014.

On top of athletic achievement, the golf program has been among the best students in the classroom, regularly posting team GPAs higher than 3.5. The Carroll women posted a team GPA of 3.535 for the 2015-16 year while the men tallied a 3.279.

MacIntyre has an impressive resume of his own on the links, including being a two-time city Golf Champion, most recently in 2016, as well as multiple club championships at both the Country Club in Helena and the public golf course.  MacIntyre was state runner up in the 2012 Mid-Am and took 5th place in the 2011 State Amateur.

MacIntyre joined the Carroll staff in the fall of 2006 and was named head coach in the spring of 2007. He worked as the Associate Athletic Director and Executive Director of the Saints Athletic Association from 2012-2016 and July 1, 2016 he stepped down from that role to become the first full-time head golf coach in Carroll College history.

He earned his undergraduate degree at California Lutheran University in 2001. He was on the Kingsmen golf team all four years. He earned a Master’s degree in leadership studies from the University of San Diego in 2004. MacIntyre lives in Helena with his wife and two young children. They can be seen cheering on the Saints at most athletic contests.
