High School Career: Chase competed in both track & field and cross-country. His freshman year he qualified for the state meet in both cross-country and track & field. Constantine's sophomore year he earned All-Conference and placed 15th at state in cross-country. On the track he placed 8th in 1600 meters as a sophomore. His junior year she was All-Conference and All-State in cross-country, where he placed 6th at state, and 2nd in the 1600 meters at the conference meet. In track & field that same year Chase was 5th at state in the 3200 meters and 8th in the 1600 meters at the state meet. His senior year he was All-Conference in cross-country placing 12th at the state meet. On the track he aslo placed 2nd in 800 meters at conference, 3rd in 1600 meters and 2nd in 4x400 relay at state.
