Helena, Mont. – Carroll College Cross Country will compete in Butte, Mont. on Thursday afternoon at the Butte Cross Country Invitational.

 

While the Saints' top placers from last week will rest in preparation for the competitive Charles Bowles Invitational next week, Carroll will still travel 6 men and 9 women to Butte. It will be the first 6k of the year for the women while the men will again race 8k. Tanner Joyce will make his fall debut after competing at Nationals on the 4x800m Relay last spring.

 

"We're still looking forward to this group making gains at this race," said Head Coach Shannon Flynn. "In the past it has been a fun, flat, fast course despite the high elevation, so we want to take advantage of competing in that setting with both individual and team goals in mind."

 

The men's gun will go off at 3:30 pm and the women's at 4:15 pm on Thursday at Highland View Golf Course in Butte.
