Missoula, Mont. - Saints Cross Country continued their 2026 campaign at the Montana Invite on Friday in Missoula.
 
The Carroll women placed top of NAIA schools and 6^th overall in a competitive, NCAA Division I packed meet. Jayna Boonstra again led the Saints, breaking into the Top 25 in 24^th overall and 1^st NAIA runner in the field. Ryah O'Dell, Isabelle Ruff, Faye Holland, and Nikki Nau rounded out the scoring 5 for the Saints.
 
On the men's side, Oliver Morris placed 16^th and came in as the Top NAIA runner. The men placed 7^th overall, falling only to No. 14 Rocky Mountain College for NAIA schools. Conrad Schruth, Harper Churape, Jack Jensen, and Eli Highness filled out the Saints' Top 5.
 
"We executed a lot of our tangible goals and made some positive steps forward in this meet," said Head Coach Shannon Flynn. "The hillier course fits our strengths, and it was fun to see the athletes practice doing hard things as we work closer and closer to the most competitive portion of our season."

A group of Carroll runners will compete next Thursday at the Butte XC Invite. Carroll's Top 7 will go back to work for a few weeks before traveling to Oregon in early October for the Charles Bowles Invite. There, they will meet multiple Cascade Conference teams currently ranked in the NAIA Top 25.
